Computer Requirements and Supported Browsers Compatible Browsers Only one browser is required to access eCampus. However, it is wise to have at least two ready to go at any one time in the event the primary browser fails. In Windows systems, it is recommended to have Internet Explorer, Firefox and Chrome operational.
For OS X (Mac) systems, Safari, Firefox and Chrome are recommended. These browsers may be downloaded from the icons below. The supported technologies statements are specifically relevant to WVU eCampus.
On Apple Mac OS X, Google's Chrome browser does not support Java 7 because of incompatibilities between 64-bit Java and 32-bit Chrome. Firefox and Safari browsers do not have this limitation on Mac OS X. Users of the Chrome browser on Mac OS X must configure Java 6 support.

ECampus doesn't support these browsers for use with the multiple-file upload interface, or embedded media that require NPAPI plug-ins for viewing. 4Note on OSX 10.8+ Java is no longer shipped as part of the OS install and must be downloaded and installed by users on request of application/applet - this is a one time action on the part of the user. NOTE: If you have the latest update for Firefox, Internet Explorer or Chrome, you may find that the eCampus browser check gives a red X for the general checkup, even when all items on it are green.
